Sagamore Hill

Sagamore Hill located in Oyster Bay is Theodore Roosevelt's summer home.  He and his family spent summers in this house in the 1870's.  He loved this house because he loved the outdoors and there were many things he could do here like riding, swimming, hiking, etc.  This is a nice place to visit and there is a lot to do here.  You can take a tour of the house and go inside or you can walk around the outside there are trails to walk through and beautiful sites to see here.  There is also lots to see in the town of Oyster Bay it is very historic and a beautiful place.

Cedar Beach

Cedar Beach is also a town of Babylon Beach.  It has a fishing pier, you can dock your boat, or park your camper here.  It is a nice play to stay on the boat or just to spend the day.  There is a beach hut on the ocean side and they have live music every night and a car show every Saturday night.  They serve food and beverages here.  The ocean is very nice and relaxing here.  They also have a playground, basketball hoops, handball wall, and a barbecue spot.  This is a very nice place to spend your summer days.

Gilgo Beach

Gilgo Beach is a town of Babylon beach on Ocean parkway.  The beach is always packed with surfers, kids, and adults enjoying the day on the beach with friends family and even themselves.  Everyone is very friendly here.  Surfers flock here because the waves roll in just right here.  You can dock your boat here for the day or stay over night.  The Gilgo Beach Inn serves food and beverages.  Babylon village's local surf shop Bunger also has a shack here where they sell many things.  You can also rent surfboards here and get lessons for the day.  The walls and ceiling in the tunnel down to the ocean is painted with many different things it is very pretty and they are interesting to look at.  On Sundays they have live music on the bay side by the inn.  This beach is definitely worth visiting.  

Sailors Haven Fire Island

Sailors Haven is not just its name it also greatly reflects the beautiful place it is which is a relaxing place to bring your boat or take the ferry to so you can spend the day on the beach or taking a nice nature walk through the sunken meadow.  It is a beautiful vacation spot that you can bring your boat to and dock there and have a relaxing and fun few days.  There is not much more than just the beach and the water but that is all you need on summer days.  It has a little general store and a concession where you can get something to eat.  You can take the ferry from Sayville to get here.  It only takes about a half hour to get there.  This is definitely a great place to visit and take family friends. You will definitely have a nice time.
